Improve Your Surfing Fitness

I'm very excited by the swell that's about at the moment on the Goldie. I'm really looking forward to getting out amongst it tomorrow afternoon. I haven't been out in a while, what with the Quicksilver and Roxy taking out Snapper, and my favourite board's been in for repairs after a run-in with an old goat a while back.

I've taken a rather dramatic step in signing up for Clayton Beattie's Total Surfing Fitness program. I'm determined that, since I'm not getting out into the water as often as I'd like at the moment, I want to get more out of the sessions that I do have. I know that I'm generally much fitter than I have been recently thanks to my personal trainer Dale at Ripple Fitness, but I want to be much more surf fit.

Check out the details of the program here There are some great videos and a free sampler. The whole program's dirt cheap anyway. I especially like the idea in the pic below (maybe I'll have to start keeping stats).

Here's a bit of video on the program.

I want to be one of those guys that they show at the start of the video. Years ago I used to be - and now I dream of catching heaps of waves whenever I want. Anyway, it's action that makes dreams happen

You'll be able to follow my progress on a new surfing blog I'll be starting soon.
